Carmellita’s clients appreciate her empathy, excellent listening skills, and ability to create a safe, nonjudgmental space. Whether working with individuals navigating crisis or helping families move through conflict, she is dedicated to supporting positive change. As she often says, “I am no longer accepting the things I cannot change—I am changing the things I cannot accept.”
With a Master’s degree in Social Work from Middle Tennessee State University, Carmellita currently works in an inpatient mental health hospital, where she supports patients experiencing depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, and dementia. Her experiences as a woman of color from a low-income background give her a strong foundation for working with clients from diverse cultures and walks of life.
Outside of work, Carmellita enjoys baking sweets, spending time with family, traveling, and making the most out of life with her beloved pets.
She is currently accepting new clients virtually in Tennessee.
