David Petersmark, MSSW, LSW
David Petersmark is a licensed social worker who earned his bachelor’s degree in Social Work at Ferris State University and his master’s degree in Social Work at Aurora University. Ultimately, David’s desire to become a therapist stemmed from his wanting to better understand others and help them achieve their goals and experience a better quality of life.
Before joining Willis CC, David worked with patients suffering from anxiety and depression in outpatient and inpatient settings. At Willis CC, he looks forward to working with everyone from young adults to the elderly; he just enjoys helping people with difficulties achieve their goals. As a therapist, David wants to create a non-judgmental, safe environment where guests can problem solve and discuss life stressors. He has a person-centered, solutions-focused approach, and guests experience him as a great listener who’s very understanding, kind, compassionate, and nonjudgmental.
Hailing from Michigan, David has a great sense of humor, loves music, and enjoys going on exotic vacations. When he’s not helping guests, you can find him going for walks, cooking, and spending quality time with family and friends.
