Camille Steffen, LCSW
Camille Steffen understands that we are designed to move through life’s challenges with the help of others, not to face them alone. She recognizes that struggle is part of the human experience and believes our struggles do not define who we are. Camille is eager to help her guests take control and live their highest quality of life. She is licensed in the statue of Illinois and Arizona as a Social Worker.
Camille’s experience includes work with children, adolescents, and adults in both individual and family therapy. As a clinician she has primarily works with guests on managing anxiety, depression, and adjustment to life changes. Additional areas of experience include learning disabilities, mood disorders, child development, self harm behavior, trauma, identity related issues, low self esteem, substance abuse, relationship issues, and family conflict.
Additionally, individuals who are looking to process a traumatic event and develop tools for regulation after a trauma will find her style to be reassuring. She also takes special heart in supporting Individuals who are looking to understand boundaries and how to maintain them in various environments.
As a clinician her practice has heavily focused on DBT & Mindfulness as well as CBT. She often incorporates mindfulness to help her guests practice sense of self and develop boundaries. She has co-facilitated Mindfulness Groups, supported Parent-Child bonding development, and supported guests in gender identity exploration.
Camille’s style values trust. She strives to provide a safe space where her guests are able to feel supported, accepted and understood. She believes in a collaborative approach in which her guests guide their process of change.
Though a desert dweller from Arizona at heart, Camille thoroughly enjoys everything Chicago has to offer. She is currently accepting new guests at our Wicker Park studios.
