Email about Alicia

Alicia Lucas is a licensed marriage and family therapist associate who earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from College the of Charleston and her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral University. She loves being a therapist because she loves empowering guests and witnessing them take control of their lives.

Alicia’s experience includes working in a school setting with families of adolescents suffering from behavioral issues; in private practice with individuals with a wide variety of presenting issues, such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, separation anxiety; with couples; and with families of antisocial youths involved with the juvenile justice system. At Willis CC, she looks forward to working primarily with young adults, though she’s happy to work with guests from adolescents to the elderly.

Alicia’s goal as a therapist is to offer a safe space for guests to explore their emotions and unique circumstances. Guests experience her as kind and easy to open up to, and her style is to let her guests open up at their own pace. She believes that everyone is capable of becoming the best versions of themselves, but sometimes they just need a little guidance to get there. She hopes to be that person for her guests.

A native of South Carolina, Alicia can be described as kind, patient, and compassionate. She has three cats and two dogs, her favorite movie is “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”, and she’s been to Hawaii four times (it’s her favorite place). In her free time, she loves reading, traveling, and hiking.
