Yekaterina (Katya) Shcherbakova , LCPC
Katya is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who earned her Master’s degree from Roosevelt University in Clinical Professional Counseling. She decided to become a therapist because she wanted to pursue a career in which she would have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the guests she serves. Those who know her best would describe her as someone who is kind, reliable, trustworthy and loyal. Previously, Katya worked with individuals with myriad mental health symptoms. She values therapy for people because it’s an experience where individuals can open up and discover something new about themselves and because it helps people show how resilient they are, how coping skills can be helpful, and how a different mindset can really assist with challenges someone is experiencing. She has been working in the field for 7 years. Katya has used multiple treatment modalities including CBT, solution-focused, motivational interviewing, mindfulness/guided. In her spare time, Katya likes volunteering with One Tail at a Time and being surrounded by dogs. Also, she loves cooking and watching cooking shows!
Katya is currently accepting new guests at all of our locations.
