Tayshia Small is a licensed professional counselor who earned her Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling at Olivet Nazarene University. Those who know her best describe her as fun, free-spirited, and loyal, with a quirky sense of humor. She became a therapist because she wants to help others improve their mental health and overall well-being, and she recognizes the importance of having a support system and someone to lean on. In that process, she’s dedicated to providing all of her guests with a safe, comfortable healing environment to work through life’s challenges.
As a therapist at WillisCC, Tayshia is looking forward to working with all populations, including those who have difficulties with various addiction, lack of self-esteem, trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, and more. The treatment modalities she incorporates most often include life skills, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing Therapy, and Play Therapy. Ultimately, she aims to help guests establish goals and explore internal strengths to have fulfilling relationships in life.
Tayshia is the mother of two sons and loves spending time with her friends and family. In her spare time, she loves traveling around the world—be it on a cruise to the Bahamas, or on a road trip across the United States. She also loves tacos and chocolate.
